Episode 22 - The Monkey King

This episode features Matt having to contend with a cheeky monkey, as he records with Dave in their review of The Monkey King. Starring Donnie Yen, Chow Yun-Fat and Aaron Kwok, this 2014 reimagining of tales from Journey to the West reaches for the heavens, but is it worthy of a place there? Tune in to find out!

Episode 21 - Ghoulies

Episode 20 - Microtransaction Simulator

While this episode won't cost you anything extra, any enjoyment from some video games might. And in steps Microtransaction Simulator, to take a poke at add-on purchases for video games, but is this one worth picking up? Tune in to hear our thoughts (which you should probably do before spending time on this one).

For our next episode, we're looking for suggestions for campy 1980's style horror movies. They don't actually have to be from the 1980s, but the cheesier, the better. What have you got for us?

Episode 19 - Brotherhood of Blades

Matt and Dave travel back in time to slash it up in the Ming Dynasty, was it worth the trip? Tune in to find out, and ask how you can get your own hand-held pump-action crossbows! Just remember to keep your maiming on the down-low.

For our next adventure, we'll be jumping into Microtransaction Simulator, which will be available for free on Steam September 14th. What are we getting ourselves into?

Episode 18 - Final Girl

The Penultimate Boys are back with their review of Final Girl! This 2015 movie, starring Abigail Breslin, Alexander Ludwig, and Wes Bentley might just be up your alley, but is it worth fishing out of the dumpster? Tune in to find out the answer to this, and many other questions! Maybe not important questions...and maybe not questions you or anyone else was even asking...but questions nonetheless.

And, for our next episode, we'll be watching Brotherhood of Blades, which we're hoping is about a rivalry between Bic and Gillette.

Episode 17 - A Step Into Darkness

In this week's adventure, our brave heroes take A Step Into Darkness, in this former Steam Greenlight game. What fate befell them? Tune in to find out whether they survived this outing, and whether or not you should venture into this game as well.

Episode 16 - Swamp Ape

And we're back with the movie that almost killed us, Swamp Ape. Yes...Swamp Ape. Spoiler warning: just don't watch this movie, nothing good can come of it. But if you, for some reason, do watch it, let us know what you thought, and if you enjoyed it, tell us what we missed! And after that? Let us never speak of this movie again.


And for our next episode, we'll be hitting up a game that is on the verge of release, A Step Into Darkness, which will shortly be available on Steam (slated for August 1st, 2017).

Episode 15 - Rocketship X-M

Matt and Dave travel through space and time to bring you Rocketship X-M, one of the pioneering sci-fi movies of the 1950s. Here we find several astronauts attempting to travel to the moon, but things don't quite go according to plan. Does this movie hit the target, or go terribly off-course? Tune in to find out!

Episode 14 - Once Upon a Time in Mumbai

Sorry everyone! We hate to dash your hopes, but we're back! This time, Matt and Dave checked out the best the Indian film scene has to offer (or was it?), Once Upon a Time in Mumbai (2010). Follow along as we recount the rise and fall of gangsters, attention spans, and accidentally watched sequels! Tune in to hear our thoughts, and to see what's coming for the next episode. Also, as a side note, with June looming, so is Cast-a-Day. Definitely check out the daily postings of Matt Peters as he embarks on a month of daily podcast episodes, with great content, guests, music, and much more!

Episode 13 - USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage

They say war is hell...will this movie be any better? Probably not, because this episode the gents watched USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage, starring Nicholas Cage and Tom Sizemore, and directed by Mario Van Peebles. Tune in to hear Matt & Dave laugh about whether this movie sinks or swims, whether it's worth your time, and find out what they'll be watching next!

Episode 12 - Ryse: Son of Rome

Matt and Dave are back with another game review! This time they don their tunics as they join the legion in Ryse: Son of Rome, which is free all month on Xbox Live (sorry if you're listening to this after April). Will this game *rise* to the occasion, or fall like a bloated and corrupt Rome? Tune in to find out what we thought, and whether the game will be worth your time!

Episode 11 - Absent

Join Matt & Dave as they check out Absent, a free point and click adventure game from Steam. Absent was a 2013 release from FNGames, about a college student who is pulled into a mystery following the disappearance of a fellow student. Oh, forgive us, we just watched Embers, a 2015 film about the remaining people on earth after a rampant disease wiped out people's ability to remember just about anything. Was the movie worth remembering? Listen in to find out. And yes, this is one we recommend listening to before you watch...just sayin'.

Episode 7 - Moirai & Mandagon - Two Games in One Review

Join Matt & Dave in a two-game review this week! They checked out Moirai and Mandagon, both available for free on Steam. Moirai was created by Chris Johnson, Brad Barrett, and John Oestman. Mandagon was a Steam Greenlight game from Blind Sky Studios, released in August 2016. Did they find trash, treasure, or a bit of both?

Episode 6 - ARQ

Matt and Dave had a blast at CES, and are back delving through dumpsters to find something good. This episode, they had a little help with a friend with a recommendation for ARQ, available on Netflix. It feels a bit like cheating, since this is a Netflix original, and they've done generally good work, so we've raised the bar with this episode. Does it meet our exacting standards? Do we have standards at all, at this point? Tune in to find out! Also, for our next episode, we'll be doing a gaming twofer with Moirai and Mandagon, both available for free on Steam. Both are relatively short games as well, so however you fancy them, they won't eat up too much of your time.

Episode 5 - Troll Hunter

Happy New Year! We made it through 2016, but did Matt and Dave make it through Troll Hunter? Well, obviously someone is still around to publish the podcast, but maybe this is just found footage...tune in to find out! As a side note, we recorded this episode a week early, so that we'd still have an episode for you fine folks, while we off in Las Vegas covering the Consumer Electronics Show!
